There is no August AAUW newsletter but members are still meeting - planning for next year, volunteering, and having fun together.
August 12 Tuesday 3pm EcoEd planning for Fall Social
August 20 Wednesday 4 pm Happy Hour @ Crooked Goat
August 28 Thursday 10 am Coffee Hour @ Riverfront Café
September 14 Sunday 2pm Fall Social at Cram Hall
Help Wanted Contact Joanne Rooney to volunteer your help
ZOOM Scheduler Set up ZOOM meetings for branch activities. Perk: You get a ZOOM account that you are free to use for personal calls as long as they don’t conflict with Branch calls.
Website Team Support the Branch website as part of a 3-4 member team. Perk: Learn how to design and manage a website.
Materials Manager Provide a common location to store items owned by the Branch. Check out items to members upon request. There are several bins and a couple of easels.
Publicity Coordinator Submit press releases and articles to local news and media sources. You don’t have to write the articles, just distribute them upon request.
Photo Collector Be the point of contact to receive photos by email or dropbox. Store photos on your computer until year-end when they will be organized and posted to the website.
AAUW Ofrenda for Day of the Dead
The MakeIt! section will assemble a Day of the Dead altar for display at Copperfield’s. This year the theme is “Women’s Words” to feature female authors, including autobiographies. If you would like to participate by making a small display (shoe-box size), please send your nomination to Kris U’Ren by August 20.

AAUW Safe Meeting Guidelines
